Balraj Meena's Polyhouse

Balraj shares that he adopted modern farming techniques back in 2014, moving away from traditional practices. He implemented methods like polyhouse farming, greenhouse cultivation, drip irrigation, and sprinkler systems. Initially, he achieved a good yield with cucumbers and later started cultivating colored capsicum as well.

From just one acre of polyhouse, he generates a turnover of up to Rs 10 lakhs, with a profit margin of Rs 4–5 lakhs. In the beginning, he sold colored capsicum at Rs 70–80 per kg, and the following year, the price went up to Rs 150 per kg. Similarly, cucumbers fetched him at least Rs 20 per kg.

Currently, he grows colored capsicum and cucumbers using seeds from Rizwan and Syngenta companies, maintaining high quality and consistent demand in the market.
