Personally, I really like Gaadiwaadi.com founder Gaurav Yadav’s journey — how he used to work as a salesman in a car showroom, and his passion for cars inspired him to start Gaadiwaadi.com
Information has been taken from various online sources.

How did the Gaadiwaadi.com founder started blogging?
In 2010, Gaurav began his career as a salesman with a salary of just Rs 5,500. He noticed that even the company brochures lacked a lot of important information, which led him to start reading about cars online. His interest in cars inspired him to write about them on Blogger, and in 2013, he published his first blog post.
How Gaadiwaadi.com Started?
In 2015, Gaurav registered the domain Gaadiwaadi.com. He even asked his friends what they thought of the name, and they said it was good and easy to remember. That’s how Gaadiwaadi began. In 2016, he received his first AdSense payment of Rs 18,000, and soon after, he started earning over Rs 1 lakh per month from blogging. He also mentioned that he runs other websites like Gaadiwale.com and BikeAdvice.in (focused on bikes). In a podcast with India’s popular YouTuber and blogger Satish K, he revealed that he purchased Gaadiwale.com for around 12 lakhs.

Website Traffic and Income
Currently, along with Gaurav, three full-time writers work for Gaadiwaadi, along with 2–3 freelancers. They publish around 10–12 articles daily. In terms of traffic, the website receives approximately 6–7 million visitors, generating a monthly revenue of $12,000 to $15,000. However, compared to earlier years, there has been a decline in revenue over the past 1–2 years, during which they used to earn around $20,000 to $22,000 per month. Gaurav attributes this drop mainly to the audience shifting more towards video content. He earns solely through AdSense from the website. Apart from that, he also runs the Gaadiwaadi YouTube channel, which has over 1 million subscribers, and an Instagram account under the name ‘Haryana_Gaurav’, which has over 400,000 followers.
Gaurav’s Car Collection
Gaurav owns a collection of over 20 vehicles, which includes bikes and even 2 four-wheel-drive tractors. Recently, he purchased the BMW XM, which costs around Rs 3 crores. His collection also includes the Kia EV9 electric car and the Scorpio N.
What made Gaadiwaadi such a hit?
Initially, Gaurav used to publish exclusive news, such as which cars were about to be launched and what features they would have. This helped him gain a lot of backlinks, which in turn boosted his site’s authority. Even today, most of the articles Gaurav publishes are based on his personal experiences. He test-drives the cars himself and shares both the good and bad aspects in his reviews.
Other Investments
Gaurav used his blogging income to purchase an 11-acre farmland, where he has also built a farmhouse. He shared that the digital world is uncertain, but land will always provide returns, which is why he considers farmland his most valuable investment. In addition to this, he also owns flats that generate regular rental income. On his farm, Gaurav has even built a beautiful treehouse and a swimming pool.
