Consistent Growth Since Introduction
The MG Windsor has emerged as a frontrunner in the EV race in India. For the past ten months, they have remained at the top in sales. The Windsor has sold almost 36,000 units since introduction, indicating consistent growth in demand and acceptance among EV consumers. In the month of July 2025, JSW MG Motor India recorded the highest ever Windsor sales in a month with 4,308 units. This contributed to an increase in MG’s share of the EV market from 28% in Q1 2025 to 32% by Q2, a substantial 4% growth. Windsor’s average sales increased 17% in the period as well. The brand’s EV wholesale sales increased 28% quarter-on-quarter.
Cost and Purchase Options
One of the MG Windsor’s strengths is its pricing strategy. MG adopted a BaaS model for the Windsor, allowing purchase at BAAS price of Rs. 9.99 lakh and charging Rs 3.9/km for battery usage. This model drastically improves accessibility for consumers who do not prefer the purchase of batteries.

For those who need more features and range, MG added the Windsor Pro variant this year. It comes in two trims, Essence Pro and Exclusive Pro. Both trims have a 52.9 kWh battery with an ARAI-certified range of 449 km per charge. Essence Pro offers Level 2 ADAS and V2V, V2L capabilities. The starting price of Rs. 13.09 is under the BaaS plan which is Rs. 4.5 per km for battery usage, Rs. 18.09 lakh for outright purchase.
Design and Features
The MG Windsor is equipped with modern features that include an AeroGlide design and Aero Lounge seats which recline 135 degrees ensuring a comfortable journey. The vehicle also includes an advanced infotainment system with wireless features and a 15.6 inch display for easy navigation alongside other vehicle management. Windsor possesses a 100 kW (136 PS) motor with 200 Nm of torque allowing a smooth performance with a responsive drivability during city travels and highway drives.
